Fukuoka, Japan - Raumen Stadium

If you ever go to Fukuoka in Japan. Staying at the Hyatt Regency in Hakata is actually of most convenience, you'll be pretty much connected to the Canal City Mall. If you don't want to walk far this place is fine if you're just there for a short trip. One thing to try in that mall though is to go to the 5th floor. Everything in that floor is basically all food vendors serving Raumen. Each vendor specializes ramen from different places of Japan. I ended up eating Tonkatsu Ramen in Fukuoka's version. You can taste how fresh the broth is and how authentic it is as well. Other generic places trying to imitate Japan's restaurants make it too oily, and it's fast cooked. To get the right flavor of broth, the pork has to be boiled for hours which generic restaurants don't do.
